E-Life
More Days To Come
E-Life stocked with honors representing the biggest docks of the
world: Rotterdam, The Netherlands. And this time he will get even
more honors. Why is the duet of Method Man and Mary J. Blidge
no wack RnB track but straight up hardcore HipHop? You know the
answer. On this 12" we hear two versions of the same song: More
Days To Come and More Days Ahead.
More Days To Come, E-Life is backed up by Karima Lemghari of the
RnB group Dignity. I just heard a snap of the song on the radio,
afraid of a wack ass sound of any popular RnB track I was surprised
when I checked the record. No mainstream sound. It's a hardcore
track and the singing of Karima reinforces the song instead of
making it weaker. The cold piano sample makes the song perfect.
The beat represents without any words the content of the song.
And ofcourse: he ain't just for nothing stacked with honors. The
day this man will come wackS I can't imagine.
Karima:
You can't keep fooling yourself
can't nobody ever test me
I'm your guiding light your shining star
you wish you could be
there is not a minute, hour, day or night
you don't want it
to be on top of this game
ain't be easy / Ill be on it
Only one pity thing: the break sample in the video of a song from
Postmen is not on record. By the way, look out for the video.
Just the same as the song: master.
More Days Ahead
Stocked With Honors: "DCS backing me up on this mission". Not
anymore.
After a too long time performing without a DJ we finally saw him
how it should be: with a DJ! DJ Grasshopper makes a show of E-Life
real master. He's the finishing touch. The same thing on this
track, good screatches of E-Life him self from earlier releases.
The beats are different from the first one. But both are straight
up HipHop. In this beat you also hear violins and the piano is
replaced with the sound of a xylophone.
As a sticker on the cover tells you, this release: "Contains the
highly anticipated Gunmenifesto by the Committee Gunmen". Including
Sonny Diablo, U-Niq, The Anonymous, Rollarocka and E-Life. A collection
of some brilliant Dutch rappers. The best Dutchrapper: Rollarocka
even singing. Wich he does very good. Now a days Rollarocka is
responsible for the singing vocals in Postmen.
Let see what the album will bring. |
