As a result of a special radio documentary, NXT Generation, RAMP Records released a CD-Single ‘Ondergronds Verzet (underground resistance)’. The songs are mixed with sound bytes from the radio program. Def P (Osdorp Posse), Daan (Vaardigheid) and Sores did hit the road with R.V.U. broadcast company. They toured the country meeting old resistance fighters from the Second World War, when the enemy, Third Reich, occupied The Netherlands. The dialogs between the men who took a stand then and the nowadays artists built a bridge between two different generations. Connecting the stories from 60 years ago with struggles right now. We are a generation living in freedom because many grandpas and grandmas from all over the world, black and white, fought for their and our freedom. The connections and the lyrics from Def P and Sores put your both feet back on the ground.

"Zo is het weer oorlog, zo is er weer feest. Zo is er weer oorlog, anders is het nooit geweest (just like that it’s war, just like that it’s peace, just like that it’s war like ever before)", Def P.

Many of us are born in freedom and war is something we never personally experienced. Some have family lost in the Second World War or were divided by the Iron Curtain with a part of their roots. For many blacks it was a white men war. Seldom it’s told that many black man died in battle for the freedom of Europe. The lyrics and words are very impressive and make you realize that freedom is your right but you have to fight for it, guard it and defend it always. The cover is drawn by Def P and to be honest it’s ugly as hell. It’s even stupid, cutting off somebody's arm while he’s doing the Hitler salute does not help. Cut of his head! Don’t fight the syndrome, destroy the decease.

"The fight never ended just like the war never ended. The Second World War ended in Europe with the capitulation of Germany. But since then there were more than 200 wars fought all over the world."

Everybody says he will take his stand when time becomes troubled. But as Def P states: "Waarom waren er meer NSB-ers dan helden?"

The title track is the most massive one out of four tracks. From the film music of the motion picture Soldaat Van Oranje an impressive dramatic sample is used as backbone of the massive rhythm track, played by Rogier van Otterloo. The music is from Beethoven’s Heroica. Accidentally it’s similar to the ‘V’ morse code: ". . .–". V for Victory. Def P points out resistance in media land as a small detail in the whole concept of freedom. A nice illustration came unexpected on a later time. They had some red tape troubles about a silly sample they used but if all the copies are ordered to be destroyed because of this bullshit, you know you will find it on the Internet. Sores takes it to national and political level with lyrics that are damn tight. Like the old resistance men state and teach us: "We are the society and we are the system. If you want to change the world you have to start to look in the mirror every morning."
