4 february 1999 ![]() A compilation album with crews from Belgium and The Netherlands. The rappers rap in Dutch. A spotlight on some of the tracks on De Posse 4. The N.U.A, the craziest Negroes out of Amsterdam, kick it off with a party song 'Feesten' (Partying, ed.). Warmed up they are ready to hit with a less dope song 'De Gekste Slaan Toe' (The craziest hit, ed.). And they finish with '1,2,3,4,5,6,7' (Kribbemix). Sound promising and they are already busy in the studio for their first record on DJAX Records. Thus it will not be their debut. In 1995 they released a record independently under the name: 'Das De Rijm Maniac'. Which is the name of one of the MC's. Hopefully they will find some better samples to enforce their flow and rhythm tracks. ProFat produces Punk(Hip)Hop. Musically the band plays well. The flow and lyrics are not impressive. They are also in the studio for their debut album on DJAX Records. 2-Zwaard represents Belgium with a laid back track with a good flow. 'We Vertellen Het Verder'. A song talking about the criminals, police and justice department. 'How would it be when we are telling this to our kids?' is the thought in this song. After Dutroux shocked us all with his deeds, there is no truth hard enough that can awake Belgium any more. Maybe that is the reason of the sober sad vibe 2-Zwaard brings us. 2-Zwaard means: Abdelkarim El Khattabi, a warrior who fought against his oppressor a long time ago with two Arabic swords. Now he raps in Dutch, but he can rock it also in French. The second song starts off very happy with a party beat. But you will be sober in a second when 2-Zwaard starts with his rap. 'Ik ben verdoemd om op deze aarde te blijven leven.' 'I'm doomed to live on, on this planet'. Not the typical party rap. On this track, Pita from ABN, also drops a lyric. Pita was also involved in 2-Zwaards music. Check out the other artist in the store or at www.djax.nl. Or check out 2-Tact on their site: www.wxs.nl/~aarse012/2Tact. |
