"The Ruf" and
"Produce The Friction" You remembering all that noise about crazy cows from Britain? Well the noise returns with the first 12" release from the forthcoming album "Great British Beef" 2xLP/CD. It's Ruf Beats 3rd album. Earlier releases are the Jeep Beats albums "For Jimi Hendrix" and the current "Technics Chainsaw Massacre". Continuing building his rep as a label, making 'chunky as fuck' beats who drive DJs crazy. The 12" contains the two songs 'Ruf Beats' and 'Produce The Friction'. 'Ruf Beats' (101bpm) represents all elements of HipHop. The Ruf himself drops some lyrics. Scratches and a 'rolling' human beatbox are also on it. Although we couldn't hear if there was a breaker breaking, but we sure you can break on it. ![]() 'Produce The Friction' (116bpm) drops in with a great guitar hook and fat scratches 'get in to it' and getting wild. Once more a rhyme from 'The Ruf' himself and a fat human beatbox by Nick Reece. Extra features are those two grandpas from the Muppet Show's balcony. "It was Wonderful! Bravo! It was bad! Get it away! Boo". 'The Ruf' has proven that he can drive DJ's crazy. A year ago we received a bunch of records from him via a guy called Norvile Simon. A DJ/reporter of ART12 wanted to write a review and took the records home to cut them up. But since that day, we have never seen that DJ/reporter again. www.ruf-beats.co.uk Ruf Beats Po BOX 118 Altrincham, Cheshire WA 15 6AX, United Kingdom |
