"I want it all… Money, fast cars, diamond rings, gold chains and champagne / Shit every damn thing / Houses, expenses (!?!), my own business, a truck / and a coupla Benzes / Brand new socks and drawers / And I’m balling every time I stop and talk to ya’ll", I Want It All.

From his new label G-Funk New Millennium 2000/Restless Records Warren G released his new album I Want It All’. Hardly a solo album, only three tracks with no features (incl. outro) on it. From the South, East and West, from all parts of the US he got big players on his track. Snoop was not allowed to record with his long time pal, because Warren did not sign with Death Row but with Def Jam. On this album they do ‘You Never Know’.

His first album, ‘Regulates The G-Funk Era’ sold big time and displayed a new sound. An album perfectly and smoothly produced, blinding that old school RnB with HipHop flavor. His performance three years ago at Drum Rhythm Festival was good, smoothly but tame. From his second album ‘Take A Look Over Your Shoulder’ came his single ‘I Shot The Sheriff’. A cover you would hope for that the deputy is still alive to arrest G for musical rape.

We Got That’ features Eve, Drag-On and Shadow. It’s a little bit spicier and is one of the better tracks. ‘World Wide Ryders’ starts promising, grabbing your attention. With guest rappers Neb Love & K-Bar of 5 Footaz, who we sadly don’t hear enough. The track promised to be smashing, the ingredients are there, the style is there but you get disappointed and slightly irritated by the once more lack of spirit. Even the guest appearance of Slick Rick doesn’t make the track interesting.

‘Wie het onderste uit de kan wilt hebben krijgt de deksel op zijn neus’, (Who wants to have it all from his can will get hit by the lid)
